The trick to getting a pin out of most Shimano derailleurs is to drill a small hole in from the blind side of the pin’s hole. Use a small punch (I machined one from a drywall screw) to tap the pin out of the hole backwards until you can extract it with pliers. When reinstalling the pin, peen the original opening over slightly to retain the rivet. I think I used a small straight screwdriver and a few taps of a hammer to create the necessary burr.

Also note how the caps and resistors seem to have more than the usual amount of solder holding them down? I reinforce those joints while the coils are out, and clean with solvent to remove the flux.
